چکیده
Neuroinflammation is a key feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD), progressive neurodegenerative disorder. Microglia, the resident immune cells central nervous system, play crucial role in pathogenesis AD and are active participants neuroinflammation. Adequate reproduction neuroinflammation animal models one main methodological approaches for studying pathophysiology. The aim study was to conduct comparative assessment phagocytic activity microglia rats with induced by intrahippocampal administration beta-amyloid (Aβ) 1-40 Aβ25-35. Materials methods. Wistar male were used study. Intact sham-operated animals as controls. development confirmed cognitive impairment Barnes maze behavioral test, well level dopaminergic neurons (DN). microglia, oxidative metabolism expression phenotypic markers CD80 CD206 determined flow cytometry. Results. In Aβ 1-40-induced AD, significant loss DN registered, microglial characterized an increase proportion their endocytic activity, augmented overexpression CD86 CD206. 25-35-induced moderate observed, only number phagocytizing without changes metabolism, markers. Conclusion. Thus, Aβ1–40-induced pro-inflammatory functional profile which characteristic clinical course disease, more adequately reproduced.

Microglial activation varies in different models of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
Progressive changes in host mRNA expression can illuminate crucial pathogenetic pathways in infectious disease. We examined general and specific approaches to mRNA expression in three rodent models of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). Each of these models displays distinctive neuropathology. Although mRNAs for the chemokine receptor CCR5, the lysosomal protease cathepsin S, and the pleiotropic c...
متن کاملReticulocalbin-1 Facilitates Microglial Phagocytosis
Phagocytosis is critical to the clearance of apoptotic cells, cellular debris and deleterious metabolic products for tissue homeostasis. Phagocytosis ligands directly recognizing deleterious cargos are the key to defining the functional roles of phagocytes, but are traditionally identified on a case-by-case basis with technical challenges. As a result, extrinsic regulation of phagocytosis is po...

OBJECTIVES Alzheimer's disease is an age-related neurodegenerative disease and a synaptic function defect disease, the clinical symptoms are mainly progressive cognitive impairment, affecting patient's social function. Aim of this report was to investigate the effect of topiramate on apoptosis-related protein expression (Bcl-2, Survivin, Fas, Bax and Caspase-3) in the hippocampus of a rat model...
